I;d jut been going through some old shot, and found this amongst a set I'd forgotten about. So I tried out a few processing techniques (using curves and channels to create masks) and ended up with this. There is some skin smoothing on this (using the red channel as the mask), I noticed the effect was only quite small. I was gonna put up a side by side comparison. I obviously decided not to. I may put it up in a week or so, if anyone shows an interest.
Model is Sam Buxton - on of the best I've worked with.

Very nice image! The model really must have a great and smooth skin.
I probably would have cropped away the right border. Lighting is excellent.
nathan hulse: Thanks for your comment LightningPaul.
The model does have great skin, I have applied some skin smoothing to the image.
